SST100 Series Static Inclinometer Sensors

The Vigor SST100 Series comprises rugged static inclinometer sensors and tilt switches for reliable angle measurement and alarm control in industrial equipment. Single-axis and dual-axis models offer ranges from ±5° to ±180° and 0-360°, with ±0.1° measurement accuracy at 25°C. Output options include 0.5-4.5 VDC, 4-20 mA, RS232, optional RS485 or CAN, and configurable relay-style alarm outputs. With IP67 protection, a 9-36 VDC supply, strong shock and vibration resistance, and flexible online zero and alarm-point settings, the SST100 Series is suited to construction machinery, factory automation, solar equipment, transport machinery and medical equipment.

SST100 SERIES STATIC INCLINOMETER SENSORS

OVERVIEW

The Vigor SST100 Series is a family of industrial static inclinometer sensors and tilt switches developed for dependable angle measurement, position monitoring and alarm control. The series combines MEMS sensing, nonlinear compensation, cross-axis compensation and filtering in a compact IP67 aluminum housing. It is designed for construction machinery, outdoor equipment and industrial systems that require stable measurement, multiple output choices and reliable operation under shock, vibration and wide temperature conditions.

KEY ADVANTAGES

- Static inclination measurement with ±0.05° accuracy at 25°C
- Single-axis and dual-axis versions
- Measurement ranges from ±5° to ±180° and 0-360°
- Analog voltage, 4-20 mA and digital output options
- Optional RS485 or CAN interface on digital models
- Dedicated single-axis and dual-axis tilt-switch versions
- Configurable zero position and alarm points through RS232 on supported models
- 9-36 VDC wide input for industrial and vehicle-powered systems
- IP67 protection with a fully sealed aluminum-alloy housing
- Strong resistance to shock, vibration and harsh environments
- Binder 712 connector with optional metal cable gland
- Single-piece design for easy installation and system integration

MEASUREMENT MODELS

The measurement family includes the SST141, SST142, SST151, SST152, SST161 and SST162. Models ending in 1 are single-axis sensors, while models ending in 2 are dual-axis sensors. Available measurement ranges include ±5°, ±10°, ±15°, ±30°, ±45°, ±60°, ±90°, ±180° and 0-360°.

At 25°C, the rated measurement accuracy is ±0.1°. Resolution is 0.003°, repeatability is ±0.02°, zero repeatability is ±0.02° and zero offset is ±0.02°. Typical response time is 0.3 seconds at t90. Cross-axis error is ±0.3% of full scale. Temperature coefficient depends on the selected range and is specified from -20°C to +65°C.

OUTPUT OPTIONS

- SST141 and SST142: 0.5-4.5 VDC analog voltage output
- SST151 and SST152: 4-20 mA analog current output
- SST161 and SST162: RS232 digital output, with optional RS485 or CAN

Digital communication supports a selectable baud rate up to 9600 bps with ASCII data format. The output type, axis count, range and connector configuration can be selected according to the control system and installation environment.

TILT-SWITCH MODELS

The SST111 single-axis and SST121 dual-axis tilt switches provide configurable alarm control for ranges of ±5°, ±10°, ±15°, ±30°, ±45° and ±60°. Alarm-angle error is ±0.1°, with repeatability and hysteresis of ±0.05°. The default trigger and release delays are 1 second and can be configured from 0.3 to 5 seconds.

The SST111 provides one alarm point on the X axis. The SST121 provides two alarm points, one for the X axis and one for the Y axis. Normally open or normally closed output is available, with internal electrical isolation. Supported versions allow online zero adjustment and alarm-point configuration through RS232.

TYPICAL APPLICATIONS

The SST100 Series is suitable for mobile construction machinery, factory automation, solar-energy equipment, transport machinery, medical equipment, vehicle-mounted systems, outdoor monitoring equipment and other applications requiring static tilt measurement or configurable angle alarms.

MODEL SELECTION

Select the SST100 configuration according to four main requirements: measurement or alarm function, single-axis or dual-axis operation, required angular range, and output interface. For measurement applications, choose voltage, 4-20 mA or digital communication. For safety interlock and alarm applications, choose the SST111 or SST121 tilt-switch configuration and specify the required alarm points and delays.
